Lauren Kahn | Assistant Coach
Lauren Kahn joined the Columbia staff in the summer of 2014. Kahn arrived to Morningside Heights fresh off a stellar career on field for the Connecticut Huskies women’s lacrosse team. Kahn was a two-time IWLCA All-America selection for the Huskies and was a three-time All-Big East selection, including Big East Midfielder of the Year honors in 2012.
The New York native was one of the programs most prolific offensive weapons leading the team in points for back-to-back seasons in 2012 and 2013. Kahn finished her career at Connecticut with the second-most points (216) and fourth-most goals (143) in program history.
Kelly McPatland | Assistant Coach
Kelly McPartland joined the Columbia’s assistant women’s lacrosse coach in September 2015. Currently a member of the U.S. Women’s National Lacrosse team, McPartland arrives to Morningside Heights fresh off her standout career as a midfielder at the University of Maryland.
As a Terrapin, she recorded 125 goals along with 62 assists over the course of her four years, lifting Maryland to win back-to-back National Championships in 2014 and 2015.
As a junior she scored a goal in all but two games with a season total of 61 goals and a team leading 94 points en route to the 2014 national crown. As a senior, she served as team captain leading the Terrapins in defending their National Championship. McPartland also earned a spot on the 2015 NCAA All-Tournament Team.
Along with two National Championships, three ACC Conference Championships, a Big-10 Conference Championship and several individual honors earned on the field, McPartland arrives to Columbia with a ton of experience mentoring from the sideline.
From 2010-2012 she coached and trained the Long Island Yellow Jackets, working with girls ages 10-16. The Farmingdale, New York native currently works as a 1v1 personal lacrosse trainer with high school girls, teaching them offensive and defensive fundamentals and skills.
McPartland is a 2015 graduate of Maryland University, earning a B.S. in hearing and speech sciences.
